Wire Sculpture at Western Art Show

Wire sculpture horse and cowboy

“Colleagues”, wire sculpture by Angela (Hook) Bailey has been juried in to the Art of the West western art show in Kamloops, BC March 19-22, 2020.

The art show is part of the BC Cowboy Heritage Society’s 24th Annual Cowboy Festival.

This piece is a great example of contemporary art that captures the essence of the Old West. Horse and cowboy have been created from a single continuous strand of copper wire, embellished with actual horse hair to further enhance the authentic feeling of this sculpture.

Angela has captured a precious moment of respect and gratitude as the cowboy acknowledges his colleague with a well-deserved rest and a gentle touch.

Angela’s work continues to explore and appreciate the beauty of the horse and the relationships they have with their special people.
