Hi, I’m interested to learn wire art. Where should I begin with? What type of wire can I use? Can the wires be purchased in any hardware shop?

    • Angela:

I recommend purchasing a pair of round-nosed pliers and some wire to get rolling. You can get beautiful copper wire at a hardware store – bare electrical ground wire. It comes braided in 7 strands, but I just unravel the strands to get a single length to work with. You can also try aluminum fencing wire (found at a farm supply store) which is easy to bend, yet still holds its shape nicely.

Let me know if you have any other questions as you get started.
